About

Hello! I am Dan Arivd Miglets-Nelson, and I help churches make disciples of Jesus.

I graduated from Luther Seminary in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in May of 2016, focusing my Masters of Divinity on Congregation Mission Leadership, specifically in congregation development and redevelopment. While in seminary,  I was interviewed, vetted, and chosen to receive the Fund For Leaders Scholarship to tailor my education to learn how to plant, revitalize, and pastor churches, from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). In 2023, I was received into the Episcopal Church, where I found my theological home.

My passion is for making disciples of Jesus. Serving in churches across the country, I learned from a variety of leaders and members on what works and some best practices in being present in a congregation, and proclaiming what God is doing in their presence. From Fort Worth,  Texas, Las Vegas, Nevada, Chicago, Illinois, and all around the Episcopal Church in Minnesota, I possess a depth of ministry experience and a heart for hearing peoples stories and testifying to the love of God across their narrative. Presently, I am serving as Minister for Children & Youth for the Episcopal Church in Minnesota.

In 2018, I married Dr. Julia L. Miglets, and settled in to a lovely home in the Bottineau neighborhood of Minneapolis.

When I am not busy with work, I can be found at the bouldering gym, in the sauna, or watching soccer. I support Minnesota United and FC Augsburg. I enjoy reading theology and outlaw poetry. I am also an avid collector of traditional Americana tattoos, and a studier of early American History.
